Bower Wallpaper 217204 by Morris & Co in Herball Weld Yellow

This tightly packed pattern has a forest bottom covered in colourful flowers rising to the surface. William Morris created Bower in 1877 as a colourful ode to the woodland walks and flowers he so admired, drawing inspiration from the composition of mediaeval woodcuts. The colour story that comes closest to Morris's original is Bough's Green/Rose, while Indigo and Herball offer cooler versions. Shown here in herball green and weld yellow tones. Bower makes a long-overdue return to the Morris & Co. collection with the Emery Walker's House collection, evoking the exquisite garden Dorothy Walker took such great care to maintain.
