Water Based Acrylic Eggshell Paint by Morris & Co in Farringdon Grey
Product Code: 80942-Farringdon Grey
A cool architectural tone, Farringdon Grey is drawn from a colour listed under the Willow design from the original 1905 logbook. William Morris was a leading figure of the Socialist League, which had its office in a loft in Farringdon Street, giving its name to this hue. Highly opaque and low sheen, the eggshell paint finish offers a fresh, enduring quality.
Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material including dirt and grease. Prime base surfaces with an appropriate primer. Rub down previously glossed painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during preparation of pre-1960’s paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead. Prime base surfaces with an appropriate primer.
Stir well before use and apply by brush or roller. Apply 2 coats, recoatable after 2-4 hours. Additional coats may be required on new plaster or where a larger colour change is desired. Do not apply in temperatures below 10ºC or in damp conditions. If more than one can of colour is to be used in the same area, intermix before use.
The Morris & Co. Eggshell paint can be used in interiors, kitchens and bathrooms on walls & ceilings, woodwork & metals. Approximately 15 square metres per litre depending on the nature and porosity of the surface.
